1989 BMW 5 Series
For 1989, BMW 5 Series are offered in two trims: the 525i and 535i. The 525i
is powered by a 2.5-liter 6 cylinder engine that produces 168 horsepower while
the 535i is motorized by 3.4-liter 6 cylinder engine giving off 208 horsepower.
Both models come with standard 5-speed manual overdrive and 4-speed automatic
overdrive. In the inside, you'll find standard air conditioning, cruise control,
tachometer, cassette player, leather seat and manual sunroof/moonroof. 525i model
has standard tilt steering. Exterior features include alloy wheels and full size
spare tire, power windows and rear window defogger. 525i comes with 205/65VR15
tires while 535i is offered with 225/60VR15.
The safety features include power door locks, Antilock Brakes and power windows.
Driver airbag is standard only in 535i models. Talking about the gas mileage,
5 Series' 525i model gains 18/24 mpg city/highway while 535i version gets 15/23
mpg city/highway.
