2003 BMW 5 Series
The fifth generation 5 Series applies BMW's idea of "intelligent lightweight
design". For 2003, 525i and 530i come with standard power moonroof and rear head
protection system. Also standard on 525i are radial spoke design alloy wheels
while the 540i 6-speed sedan gets M Parallel Spoke 18-inch alloy wheels with high
performance tires.

For this year, a standard sunroof was added to all 6-cylinder models. A new Sport
Package including 18-inch wheels, front spoiler and sport suspension come standard
on manual transmission 540i sedan and offered as an option on other 540i models.
All 5 Series comes with anti skid system, front side airbags and front head-protecting
tubular side airbags.
2003 BMW 5 Series boasts its smooth and precise steering and each model is nimble
and surefooted. Giving the 5 Series a comfortable and consistent highway ride
is the standard suspension that handles bumps easily. The 5 Series for this generation
comes with more interior room. Its center console up front is wide and it has
a huge driveline tunnel that separates the rear seat. There is an ample space
for the rear and leg of the rear seat occupants and trunk of the 5 Series has
a long flat floor.

Three engines are offered for this year's 5 Series edition ? 2.5 ?liter engine
that produces 184 horsepower, 3.0L engine generating 225 horsepower and 4.4L V8
that cranks out 290 horsepower. The 2003 5 Series has wide range of standard features
including sunroof, CD player, air conditioning and power amenities like power
door locks, power windows and power seats. Safety features include driver-passenger
side airbags, ABS brakes, traction control and stability control.
